The Shops at Montebello is a shopping center in Montebello, California. Before it was called Montebello Town Center, before it got its current name. Among the main stores is Macy’s.
There is a nice number of stores, that includes both national and local specialty stores.
Walking around hear is quite fun. Some folks even use the place for walking exercises, walking up and down the halls. Compared to some giants of South California, this mall is fairly small, but it offers good variety to find everything exciting.
Inside the center there are food courts and various food options. Among them are Lollicup Fresh and the place called Food Stop. Also BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is here.
So whether you want a quick snack or a seat for a full meal, you have some options to choose.
There are clothing stores like Aeropostale, Hollister and Victoria’s Secret. Popmart, best known for designer toys and collectibles of pop culture, also has a spot in the center. It is a fun store for those that are interested in collectibles and trendy toys.
Also the mall has a movie theater, which is nice. Through the year there are events friendly to families, so it is not just about shopping. There also is a customer service desk, where guests can get help, info or even take a directory of the center, if needed.
One thing that is worth knowing: the parking is not great here. It mostly affects workers of the center more than the customers, but it is good to keep that in mind. Security sometimes was a bit of an issue.
The Shops at Montebello was once run by Simon Property Group. The center sits in a handy spot inside the city. It is that kind of place where one can window shop, grab something to eat, watch a movie and simply pass time.
It does not aim to be the biggest or showiest center around, and that makes its charm. It stays comfortable anda relaxed place to shop.
The mall opens around most days in the morning until evening, with a bit shorter hours on Sunday. That leaves enough time to stroll and see what the stores offer.
