Sitting in the neighborhood of Chula Vista and Otay Ranch, fairly south of San Diego, Otay Ranch Town Center is a spot for shopping under the sky, that really pleases during a visit. The neat street and design blessing walkers push movement from one store to the next easy and fun. Brookfield Properties manages the place through one of their subsidiaries.
The area, where before was Macy’s, now stands empty. Not a perfect situation, really. However the selection hear stays strong in variety.
Here are stores like H&M and Mango, plus DSW, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Banana Republic and Party City, spread everywhere. Also restaurants like P.F. Chang’s Bistro and Jos.
A. Bank for more fancy clothing, which gives good range for everything.
Care and cleaning shows in the outdoor furniture… Such attention to detail really matters, when one spends time walking outside.
Because this is open air, there are no cooled halls or covered walkways. Think more like walking along a well planned street under the sky, with stores and restaurants on both sides. The center also has an AMC Theater, so it is possible to watch a film after shopping, always available.
One store that left was REI… The reasons for their leaving are not clearly explained, but they no longer belong to the group.
The closeness of the center to nearby homes like Otay and Suwerte makes it walkable from some parts, while San Diego city itself is quite close to serve as a good stop for anyone nearby. With the many stores, restaurants and fun all together, there are usuallyenough reasons for a good day out.
This interactive map was current during its making, but stores can change over time, so we will update as needed. Save this page in your bookmarks, to easily find it when you plan the next trip.
