Northridge Fashion Center is a big shopping center in the neighborhood of Northridge in Los Angeles, California. Our team at CaliOrb created an interactive map for that place that appears on this page and helps to easily find stores and navigate inside the center. How To Use This Northridge Fashion Center Directory Map
This shopping center has four levels, called L0, L1, L2 and L3. By tapping on the labels in the upper right part one switches between the floors, which makes it easier to find stores on different levels. Clicking on any marker of a store, one gets more info about that store.
The center is a two-level shopping space with stores both inside and outside. Among the main anchor stores are J.C. Penney and Macy’s, together with Macy’s Furniture.
One finds hear also a great mix of food spots and stores beyond the main shops.
Northridge Fashion Center first opened in the start of the seventies. Then it had a totally different selection of stores. Through the years the place really changed.
One of the most notable events in the history of the center happened during the earthquake in Northridge, when it was seriously damaged. Later it went through big renovations, that spread through several phases of work over some years. The final rebuild gave the center a totally fresh look.
Before, the center had Bullock’s with a pyramid shape. There were also KB Toys and an arcade called Space Station, that sat beside the Burger King area outside. Those are now long gone, but they belong to what made the place special for folks that grew up in the area.
Big Boy restaurant was another spot that drew crowds in those times.
Currently the shopping center offers shopping, food and fun. Places like Dave & Buster’s, Wood Ranch BBQ and various food spots provide a lot of great choices for visitors. Popmart Collections are one of the newest and most unique stores in the mix.
Also New Fashion has its presence here.
The center accepts Apple Pay and Android Pay, and credit cards are used in most places. Parking in the garage is available, which is handy for drivers. Getting there by car is fairly easy, because it sits right at Tampa Avenue in Northridge.
Nearby is the Topanga Mall, which pulled part of the shoppers over the years. Topanga, belonging to Westfield with additions like Topanga Social, became even closer. However the Apple Store in Northridge Fashion Center is seen as a cool spot and the overall feel of the center stays good.
The ceiling decorations inside are a nice touch.
The name “Northridge Fashion Center” is a bit funny, if you think about it. The word “fashion” does not always match the actual content inside. It feels more like a general shopping center than a place for high fashion.
But that does not stop it from being a solid place to spend an hour shopping ortaking food.
Since the opening the shopping center has seen many changes. The stores differ, the look differs and the crowd differs. Even so it stays a gathering spot for the community of Northridge.
New visitors create their own memories here, even if the older folks barely recognize the place now.
